Pharrell & Timberland win FN’s ‘Collaboration of the Year’ Award

Footwear News がFN Achievement Awardに新設した ”Collaboration of the Year”はPharrell x Timberlandが受賞した。 コレクションは“Bee Line” と通称されている3 styleのカプセルコレクションで、6インチのブーツをフィーチャーしている。

PackはHoneycomb canvas boot、Blue boot、Brogue boot で構成され、いずれも6インチブーツをフィーチャーしている。Honeycombは文字通りミツバチの巣をキャンバスアッパーにプリントしている。

Pharrell Wiliamsは去年から今年にかけてadidasとStan Smith、Superstarのコラボレーションを手掛けてきたが、ちゃんと他所でもビジネスしているのである。最近はもっぱらアッパーのプリントキャラクタで勝負しているが、こういう単純なアイディアが彼の持ち味である。
